Organizing Team meetings - Mondays @ 7:30 p.m.

With all the activity surrounding the official launch of Stone's Throw Market at the Taste of Troy, we decided it was high time to schedule a more regular rendezvous of our Organizing Team.

Over a dozen attended in person on Monday night, and even more connected over the phone and internet. These meetings will help our team stay on the same page with the many projects being worked on. It's also a weekly opportunity for new people to join us!

Everyone is welcome!

Organizing Team meetings will be every Monday from 7:30 - 8:30 p.m. in the Project office in downtown Troy (map). We hope to see you next Monday, September 6th @ 7:30 p.m. (click here to participate by phone or listen in online).

Progress updates

  • The Incorporation Team has filed articles of incorporation for Stone's Throw Market and nominated Terry Jenkins for Co-op Treasurer! Terry is a CPA in Troy and a long-time Project member and Beta Tester. Thank you, Terry!
  • Over $45,000 kept in the local and state economies by our group since the online grocery began eight months ago. The next milestone for the Beta Test will be "to get out of Beta", says Jake -- in time for the public launch on the 18th. Jake asks, "What would you want to be different before you recommend the online grocery to your boss?" Email the Team and let us know!
  • The Grants Team has drafted proposals to the Ohio Co-op Development Center and Center for Farmland Innovation, with support from the OSU Extension Office and Cooperative Development Services

If you weren't able to join us Monday night, please click here to listen to a recording of the meeting.
